Semiclassics with ’t Hooft flux background for QCD with 2-index quarks

چکیده
A bstract We study quantum chromodynamics including the two-index symmetric or anti-symmetric quark (QCD(Sym/ASym)) on small ℝ 2 × T with a suitable magnetic flux. first discuss ’t Hooft anomaly of these theories and claim that discrete chiral symmetry should be spontaneously broken completely to satisfy matching condition. The compactification flux preserves anomaly, 2d effective theory is constrained by same 4d QCD(Sym/ASym). demonstrate spontaneous breakdown using dilute gas center vortices, which confirms prediction anomaly. also find each vacuum maintains charge conjugation symmetry, this gives affirmative support for nonperturbative large- N orientifold equivalence between QCD(Sym/ASym) $$ \mathcal{N} N = 1 supersymmetric SU( ) Yang-Mills theory.

‘t Hooft Anomaly Matching for QCD
I present a set of theories which display non-trivial ‘t Hooft anomaly matching for QCD with F flavors. The matching theories are non-Abelian gauge theories with “dual” quarks and baryons, rather than the purely confining theories of baryons that ‘t Hooft originally searched for. The matching gauge groups are required to have an F ± 6 dimensional representation. Such a correspondence is reminis...
متن کاملQuarks in the Skyrme-'t Hooft-witten Model
The three-flavor Skyrme-'t Hooft-Witten model is interpreted in terms of a quark-like substructure, leading to a new model of explicitly confined color-free " quarks " reminiscent of Gell-Mann's original pre-color quarks, but with unexpected and significant differences. The standard theory for strong interaction physics is, by consensus, QCD, but the inherent difficulties in applying this theor...
متن کاملQCD strings with spinning quarks
A consistent description of spin within a QCD string theory has been sought for many years. The addition of dynamical spin to the bosonic string led to the development of supersymmetry and superstring theory [1]. Such theories are more realistic as unified theories of elementary particle physics than as phenomenological descriptions of hadronic states. A more realistic description of hadronic s...
متن کاملQCD factorization with heavy quarks
Recent improvements [1] of the next-to-leading log x (NLx) results [2] in the BFKL framework, have stabilized the small-x behaviour in QCD, so that a phenomenological analysis of deep inelastic processes (DIS) seems now possible. However, both the gluon density (satisfying the improved equation) and the impact factors are needed in order to use k-factorization [3] to compute DIS or double DIS p...
متن کاملUnquenched QCD with Light Quarks
We present recent results in unquenched lattice QCD with two degenerate light sea quarks using the truncated determinant approximation (TDA). In the TDA the infrared modes contributing to the quark determinant are computed exactly up to some cutoff in quark off-shellness (typically 2ΛQCD). This approach allows simulations to be performed at much lighter quark masses than possible with conventio...
